How to Free Up iPhone Storage

Videos take up the most space on your phone. Compress your old memories to reclaim gigabytes.

How to Free Up iPhone Storage

The "Storage Full" Nightmare

Apple charges a premium for storage. If you have a 64GB or 128GB iPhone, you likely struggle with the "Storage Almost Full" notification constantly. The culprit? usually 4K Video.

A single minute of 4K 60fps video on an iPhone is roughly 400MB. That means just 40 minutes of video fills up a 16GB chunk of space.

The Solution: Compress and Archive

Instead of deleting your precious memories or paying monthly for iCloud+, you can compress them.

  1. Transfer your videos to your laptop (via AirDrop or Cable).
  2. Drag them into VideoLite.
  3. Compress them to HEVC (H.265) or standard H.264. A 400MB file can easily become 40MB.
  4. Save the small versions back to your phone or a hard drive.

You keep the memory, but lose the digital weight.
